In June, the global TV end market continued to be dragged down by multiple negative factors such as hyperinflation and war. The brands' purchases demand dropped sharply. At the same time, panel makers started to reduce production. The global TV panel market fluctuated violently, and the game in supply chain intensified. From the perspective of the end market by region, the damage caused by inflation in North America to consumption power is difficult to recover in the short term, coupled with the continued overdraft of demand, the end demand is sluggish; The European market was significantly affected by the war, energy prices continued to rise, and market demand declined deeply. Emerging markets promoted and stocked up in the peak season in the second half of the year, driving relatively strong demand for 32" small sizes. The Chinese market's June sales results were better than expected, but the overall demand is still difficult to expect a strong recovery. On the brand side, the Korean brands have rapidly reduced panel purchases in anticipation of a rapid inventory reduction. The inventory control and conservative panel purchase strategy may remain in Q3. It is expected that the panel purchase demand of the Korean brand will drop to a freezing point from June to July; at the same time, it will affect the purchase strategy of Chinese brands continued to be wait-and-see and conservative, and brand purchases fell into a deep destocking cycle. As a result, conservative purchases affected the lack of driving force for panel shipments. The panel shipments dropped significantly in June, and there was a structural differentiation between sizes. The sluggish North American demand affected large-size demand fell into deeply pessimistic expectations. The recovery of emerging markets drives 32” shipment growth against the trend. According to Sigmaintell research data, the global LCD TV panel shipments in June were 20.89Mpcs, a YoY decrease of 2.7% and an MoM decrease of 2.6%; the shipment area reached 12.42 M㎡, a YoY decrease of 11.7% and an MoM increase of 4.0%.
