And the inventory risk in the second-tier market had significantly weakened the driving force of panel stocking. These factors inhibited the increase in panel shipments caused by the year-end inventory clearing in December, and it is expected that the shipments will also be difficult to recover due to the sluggish demand around the Spring festival. On the other hand, influenced by the different strategy between Chinese and Taiwan panel makers, the shipment performance of panel makers differentiated significantly. The shipment level of mainland panel makers is significantly reduced, while the shipment level of Taiwan makers is gradually restored with the competitive price. Therefore, on the whole, the drop in the shipment level of leading panel makers affected the overall shipment level in December showing a downward trend both on YoY and MoM. According to Sigmaintell’s survey data, the global LCD TV panel shipment in December was 22.07Mpcs, reduced by 6.6% YoY and 0.7% MoM; The shipping area reached 14.36M㎡, reduced by 3.9% YoY. However, driven by the gradual recovery of large-size demand, the shipment area increased by 3.6% MoM.
